Biography

Taimur Burki is the one of Intel’s Supply Chain R&D Engineer and is the Circular Economy Program Manager. He is is responsible for Intel’s global supply chain for waste management and circular economy. Taimur began working for Intel in 1997 as an environmental engineer diving in dumpsters and has managed all the environmental programs for manufacturing.  Taimur true passion is being Intel’s waste expert; he constantly ponders why is something a waste? What can be done with it, and how? Mr. Burki leverages his exceptional knowledge and expertise to drive change across the broader technology industry and beyond. He is involved in partnering with vendors and the environmental compliance teams of Intel to examine novel methods to reduce and upcycle waste.  He is also responsible for creating and implementing sustainability initiatives for upcycling waste and understanding the regulatory framework to allow this occur.  Taimur holds an MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment from the University of Wales at Aberystwyth, and a BSc from Purdue University in Biology, Taimur leverages his exceptional knowledge and expertise to drive change across the broader technology industry and beyond.
