Biography

Steven Edmund is the Technology Development Facilities Engineering, working to ensure that solutions are in place to meet present and future semiconductor manufacturing needs. Steven earned a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bucknell University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Research experience includes studying the interaction of microwave radiation with high-temperature auto-reforming catalyst systems, as well as work in polymers and fluid transport properties in hollow-fiber membranes. During his PhD, Steven had the opportunity to work with Ford Motor Company where he designed and built catalysts for studying high speed reaction kinetics. Since joining Intel in 2013, Steven has participated in all areas of the UPW lifecycle including design, construction and operations and has worn many hats including Plan of Record and Cost Reduction program manager before becoming the Technical Coordinator. As an active participant in the IRDS UPW forum he is excited to work with the many smart people in this community to propel the industry into the next phase of innovation.
