Dr. Pia Herrling is innovation engineer at Ovivo Switzerland AG with the main focus on nanoparticle detection and control in ultrapure water for semiconductor industry and product development. She has 5 years of research experience in the field of water chemistry and technology. Her experience includes research projects regarding nanoparticle analysis and fate in aqueous systems (e.g. wastewater), as well as nanoparticle-surface interactions. She holds a bachelor and master degree in environmental science and received her Ph.D. in chemical engineering, both at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. She gained international research experience at University of Waterloo and Montana State University.
