Kevin Prettyman

Biography

Kevin currently leads a team at GLOBALFOUNDRIES responsible for overcoming chemical and materials technical issues found at external suppliers and within his company at five worldwide locations. 

He has instituted a “Help Them Help Us” program where his team visits supplier’s companies, reviews their operations and challenges, and makes suggestions for improvement, while educating the engineering staff and management in industry best practices. 

He has held various management and technical positions within the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, and has worked as a consultant in the same. 

He has taught chemistry, physics, and math as an adjunct professor for Rochester Institute of Technology.  Kevin earned a Ph.D. and M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Utah, and a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Physics from Brigham Young University.  He earned an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from the Stern School of Business at NYU.   

He holds 27 patents and has authored ten publications, and enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
