Biography

Jason Maas is the Senior Director of Electrical, Gas and Chemical Facilities of Samsung Austin Semiconductor.  In this role he is responsible for leading multiple teams of engineers and technicians who manage the daily operations, equipment management, infrastructure, installation, safety programs, compliance, environmental stewardship and system reliability for the company’s electrical, gas and chemical facilities.

Jason joined Samsung in 1998 directly out of college as a Fab Engineer specializing in the Photolithography processes. Since then he has supported both Manufacturing Operations and his current teams in Infrastructure Engineering.

Jason received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University.  He currently serves as an executive sponsor for the Hispanic Employee Relations Group at Samsung Austin Semiconductor.  Jason has been engaged in community involvement as a board member of the Skillpoint Alliance and through his role on the McNeil High School Engineering Advisory Committee, a board dedicated to directly linking local manufacturing and engineering companies with high school students and programs. Within that role, he offers curriculum advisement for school administrators and hosts engineering challenges for students.
