Biography

Hwee Kiang LEE has a B.S. in Mechanical and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.  He has 20+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry as a Facilities Water/waste Engineer including 10+ years for Micron Technology.

Hwee Kiang is currently a Senior Member of Technical Staff for Micron Global Facilities – Engineering and Water Pillar Lead for Sustainability, stationed in Singapore. His primary role is focus on new and upcoming water technologies, system design optimization and integration. On the sustainability portion, he leads Micron in 2030’s goal of 75% Recycle & Restoration. This involves identifying opportunities, optimization of existing system and sharing Bast in Class across the Micron network.

Hwee Kiang has received 5 Innovation Awards related to Water System which is one of the prestige recognition in Micron and wrote 3 Technical Papers (Internal & External). He has also participated in the development of the SEMI F98 Standard- Guide for Treatment of Reuse Water in Semiconductor Processing. He had recently joined the IRDS Water & Energy Team which plans to collaborate to work toward a roadmap for water & energy sustainability for the semiconductor industry.
