Dr. Hugh Gotts is an Air Liquide International Fellow and the Sr. Director of Research and Development at Balazs NanoAnalysis. Hugh received a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from University of California at Santa Cruz. Hugh was the owner and founder of Analytical Services Group (ASG) and is a leading expert on organic and polymer analyses using vibrational spectroscopy such as Raman and FTIR. Dr. Gotts has over 30 years experience in the application of analytical chemistry to problem solving and process monitoring in the semiconductor and disk drive industries, working for Philips Semiconductors and Surface Science Labs..  Hugh has served as the chairman of the SEMI North American Photovoltaic Standards Committee, Analytical Test Methods Task Force, among other activities.
