Dr. Ute Sierig is MTS Facilities Engineer at GlobalFoundries’ Fab 1 in Dresden. She has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry working as Water Engineer in the Facilities Process Support Engineering Team. Planning, Designing and operation of plants for ultrapure water, wastewater treatment, chemical distribution and Recycling of Rinse waters are her main areas of responsibility. She is focusing on quality improvement of ultrapure water plants. Ute holds a diploma degree in chemistry at Martin–Luther–University Halle–Wittenberg, Germany and received her PhD in water chemistry at Technical University Dresden, Germany.
