Frequently Asked Questions

Ultrapure Micro 2020 has gone virtual!

We have been carefully monitoring the implications of the COVID-19 outbreak over the past few months. Due to recent disruption and newly imposed travel restrictions, we have taken the decision to make Ultrapure Micro 2020 a virtual event! In the current environment, it has never been more important to sustain the collaboration and progress offered by the annual Ultrapure Micro conference, and so we wish to bring to you the same high quality content within a different format.

Below we have tried to answer some common questions which may arise.

Will I need to download any programs of apps to participate in the Ultrapure Micro 2020 virtual event?

Ultrapure Micro 2020 will be hosted using browser-based platforms, meaning you will not need to download any programs or apps. However, you will need to use Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. If you use Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge you will need to use a different browser in order to take part in the networking sessions. Our networking platform is currently not fully supported on mobile phones or tablets so we advise you join on your computer or laptop.

If you would like to test the compatibility of your computer with our networking platform before you register, please click here to test the connection.

For some of our collaborative sessions we will be using GoToMeetings. This can be used in either desktop or browser versions. Please ensure that you have your company’s permission to use this program.

Will I need a webcam and microphone?

Ultrapure Micro 2020 has been designed to be as interactive as possible, with numerous opportunities to connect with delegates, speakers, and sponsors in an environment which mimics an in-person conference. Therefore, we strongly encourage everyone to use their microphone and webcam throughout the event, to make the most of the networking sessions. If you do not have a webcam, you will still be able to speak with other attendees using the microphone only.

If you would like to test the compatibility of your webcam and microphone with our networking platform before you register, please click here to test the connection.

What is the cancellation policy for the Ultrapure Micro Virtual Event taking place 9-11th November 2020?

If you registered for the physical event, due to be held at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort, and have not received an email about your booking, please contact us on contact@ultrapuremicro.com.

We at GWI understand circumstances can change so are providing you with a clear policy including your available options should you not be able to attend an event for which you’ve registered.

  • If you cancel your booking more than 14 days before the opening day of an event, you may request a refund. However, all refunds are subject to a $25 administrative fee.

All refunds will be made after the dates of the event (9th-11th November).

  • If you cancel within 14 days from the opening day of the event, you are not eligible for any refund.

You may, instead, nominate a substitute to take your place; substitution of registrants may be made at any time up to the start of the conference at no charge. To do so, you may reaccess your registration if made online or may contact contact@ultrapuremicro.com  Please note:  you may not ‘split’ a registration or share your delegate credentials if you find yourself unable to attend the entire event. The substituted attendee must be an employee of the same organization.

Failure to attend the conference without notification as detailed above will be considered a “No Show” and will result in forfeiture of registration fees paid.

If you have any questions about these policies, please ask for clarification BEFORE you register.
