We are pleased to announce that we are now taking abstract submissions for the Ultrapure Micro 2022 conference, taking place on September 28th – 30th. The submission deadline is May 23rd 2022.
Ultrapure Micro Theme – Facility 2.0
In 2022, the scale of construction for manufacturing facilities is unprecedented. The next generation of fabs are not only huge in terms of footprint, but are also extremely complex, with EUV tools and 3D geometries being included for the first time. The management of these facilities will be demanding, presenting a new scale of industry challenges.
As all facilities accelerate production to address the chip shortage, how can the industry find new and revolutionary ways to meet the needs of new fabs and to accelerate the time to market? A new business environment is required to address challenges surrounding the design, build, and magnitude of advanced facilities, whilst continuing to tackle the complexity of advanced devices. Moving forward, facility owners will need to address enormous energy needs, increased water use, increased chemicals, whilst also recovering from the stress of the supply chain caused by the pandemic. Methods used to manage legacy fabs in the past will no longer be enough. It is more important than ever that the sector collaborates to create a seamless and sustainable future for the industry.a

Submission deadline:
Please submit your abstract by May 23rd 2022 at 11.59 PM PST. If you would like to request an extension, or discuss the conference timeline, please contact contact@ultrapuremicro.com.
Please note, due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we cannot guarantee that late submissions will be accepted.
The vision of UPM is to provide strong technical papers to the industry and to nurture collaboration between facility owners, endusers, service and technology providers. The goal of the conference is to advance microelectronics manufacturing. You should submit a comprehensive abstract and strictly follow the deadlines.
We encourage you to take into consideration the audience of the conference. This can range from high level engineers to those new to the industry, from both facility owners and technology/service providers – click here to read about the 2021 conference and those who attended. For this reason, your abstract should clearly address a specific technical problem being faces by the industry or an innovative solution to manufacturing challenges.
Please make sure that your abstract is as precise as possible at this stage and clearly addresses a specific technical problem or innovative solution and refers to data. Where data is not yet available, please indicate this in your abstract and provide an expected outcome.
The inclusion of commercial or otherwise unacceptable content in your presentation will mean you are not invited to speak at UPM 2022.
The Presentation Guidelines include a strict timeline that all presenters must adhere to. Failure to do so may result in your presentation being rejected.
