Ali Ozhan Altun

Biography

He had his B.Sc. degree from METU (Middle East Tech. Univ.), Turkey in 2003. Then he moved to S. Korea for a master degree at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology). Between 2005 and 2010, he worked as KIMM (Korean Institute of Machinery and Materials) as a researcher on nanoimprint lithography, light emitting diodes and chemical sensors based on field-effect transistors. Then he moved to ETH Zurich, Switzerland for Ph.D. As a visiting researcher he worked at LLNL (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories) between 2011-2014 on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. He is currently a senior scientist at ETHZ. He recently received the “Pioneer Fellowship” grant from ETHZ to bring his technology to the market.
